Dog Day Hikes Camp offers a balanced experience that supports your dog’s physical, mental, and social well-being. Through structured group hikes, we practice basic obedience, encourage calm behavior, and promote positive pack dynamics. When dogs have a healthy social structure, they feel more secure and less stressed.
Dogs are generally out of the house for 4–6 hours.

The Process of Welcoming a New Dog:
Once you reach out, we’ll schedule a 60-minute meeting to get to know your dog, answer questions, and assess fit. We’ll take a walk together and give your dog time to explore the van in a calm, low-pressure setting. Walking together helps build trust and allows your dog to get comfortable with our routine and environment.
We carefully consider the dynamics of our pack, by pairing dogs based on temperament and energy level, we strive to create balanced groups where all dogs can thrive. If your dog has reactivity issues that we cannot accommodate, we’re happy to recommend trusted trainers who can help address those concerns before your dog joins our hikes.
Commitment:
To promote consistent behavior within the pack, we require a minimum commitment of two hikes per week. On average, most dogs will be out of the house for 4 to 6 hours depending on location and trails we go to that day.

🛏️ Boarding at Dog Day Hikes

Your dog will stay in a cozy, home-based setting where they’re treated like one of our own—enjoying affection, structure and time to unwind. It’s a calm, caring atmosphere designed to help dogs feel safe and right at home.
Please note:

Boarding is available exclusively for dogs who are part of our regular hiking or walking program.

A $10 holiday fee applies on major holidays.

Morning hikes or walks are not included on the day your dog goes home. If your dog is picked up after 10:00 AM, a standard hike or walk charge will be applied.

Pick-up after 5:30 PM will incur an additional night of boarding.
🛏️ In-Home Dog Sitting
For dogs who prefer the familiarity and consistency of staying in their own home. We come and stay with your pup while you're away.
